Microsoft announced that the prices for Xbox Live will increase starting November 1st. Twitter and Xbox's
majornelson posted a new blog
post describing in depth the price increase. For the U.S. the price of monthly subscriptions will go from $7.99 to $9.99, 3-months will rise from $19.99 to $24.99 and a year will go from $49.99 to $59.99.
Xbox currently has a
deal to lock in one year for $39.99 which is less than the current going price. Sounds like a good deal to me.
The price for Xbox live has been the same since 2002. The increase is said to be worth it with the new additions coming for Xbox Live Gold users.

Shouldn't be a problem. I don't mind paying a little extra for a quality product/service.
I agree. It's not as if it were $100 for a year long subscription. When it gets to be that much, then we may have a problem.
